Household & Consumer
From a compact rental kitchen to a family home, filtration needs to fit the available space and everyday routines. Faucet-mounted units, under-sink systems and replacement cartridges offer different configurations, with cartridge dimensions and packaging available for discussion as part of home-product development.

Faucet-mounted hollow-fiber water purifier MF200-F5
Use and selection
Faucet-mounted bacteria-removing water purifier (replacement cartridges available as a 2-pack). Under-sink and faucet-mounted types suit large and small households, homeowners and renters alike.
The cartridge uses a 0.2 μm-pore MF-PES hollow-fiber membrane (bacteria-removal results: see the sample-specific reports on the Technology page).
Model conditions
- Size 11.4 cm (H) × 14 cm (W) × 6.2 cm (D); net weight 250 g
- Flow 2 L/min (varies with household water pressure)
- Total output 1,500 L or more (varies with local water quality)
- Source water: qualified tap water; water temperature 5–40 °C; working pressure 15–45 psi
- Service life 3–6 months (depends on the source-water quality and the number of users)
Housing and filter media
Housing: ABS. Filter media: mbranfiltra hollow-fiber filtration membrane, Japanese food-grade calcium sulfite, food-grade ion-exchange particles, natural coconut-shell granular activated carbon and natural chitin fibre (same media in the replacement cartridge).
Printed on the package
Both packages print: "The hollow-fiber cartridge made by the company was tested by SGS; E. coli removal rate above 99.9%; report no. PX/2020/A011303." Shown as printed; the result applies to the sample tested.

Replacement cartridge MF200-F5-F
Model conditions
- Size 9.1 cm × Ø 4.1 cm; net weight 50 g
- Flow 2 L/min, total output 1,500 L or more, qualified tap water, 3–6 months: as printed for the MF200-F5; water temperature 5–40 °C (no working pressure is printed on the cartridge package)
- Shelf life: 2 years unopened (store in a cool, dry place)
- Replace the cartridge regularly; its life rises or falls with local water quality, hardness, pH and chlorine level
Cartridge change and first flush
- Unscrew the cartridge housing and take out the old cartridge.
- Place the new cartridge upright in the base, press it down and screw the housing back on. Press straight down; forcing it in at an angle can break the thread.
- First use or a new cartridge: run filtered water for 5 minutes to wet and rinse the cartridge. Grey-black water at first is normal (it is the natural activated carbon); run until the water is clear.
Why membrane filtration
Many filter bottles use activated carbon, which adsorbs odours and some substances but does not retain bacteria; a membrane is what physically holds bacteria back. That is why mbranfiltra develops filtration membranes. Bacteria-removal results: see the sample-specific test reports on the Technology page.
Key Features
- E. coli removal rate above 99.9% — SGS report PX/2020/A011301 (sample MF02-M1, 2020-10-23); applies to that sample only, not the whole product line (report scan on the Technology page)
- No reject water: hollow-fiber microfiltration filters the water as it passes through the membrane, needs no electricity and uses all of the water that passes through, whereas reverse osmosis discharges a share of concentrated wastewater. Figures depend on the model; microfiltration does not remove dissolved salts.
- Custom packaging in multiple sizes to suit customer needs
